The story of Dean's Shortbread goes back to Helen Dean's kitchen in 1975. Her husband was so enthusiastic about her homemade shortbread that he decided to use the sale of the treats to finance his local marching band. Thanks to the ensemble's tours throughout England, Helen's baking skills soon became known everywhere. It wasn't long before she had to move from her kitchen to her own bakery in the village to meet customer demand. When this was no longer enough, a large bakery was built on the outskirts of town in 1992, which has since supplied sweet-toothed people internationally with biscuits and other delicacies made using Helen's original shortbread recipe. Tradition is very important at Dean's and so the Dean's Shortbread company is still family-owned and produces classic British delicacies in elaborate handcraft for the highest quality.
