The story of Kringle Candle begins with a simple wax crayon in 1968 that Michael Kittredge gave his mother for Christmas. Inspired by this first gift, he founded the Yankee Candle Company shortly afterwards. After selling his company in the late 1990s, his family returned to the center of his life. In 2009, Mick Kittredge, the son of the Yankee Candle founder, decided to follow in his father's footsteps and found his own scented candle company: the Kringle Candle Company. The name of the company is a tribute to "Kris Kringle", the American equivalent of Santa Claus, and stands for tradition and quality in scented candle production.
