It all began in 1968 with a simple wax crayon that Michael Kittredge turned into his first candle and gave to his mother for Christmas. Shortly afterwards, he founded the Yankee Candle Company. In the late 1990s, Kittredge sold his company at the height of its success and devoted himself more to his family. In 2009, Mick Kittredge, the son of the founder of Yankee Candle, decided to follow in his father's footsteps and founded his own scented candle company: the Kringle Candle Company. The name of the company is derived from "Kris Kringle", the American equivalent of the Christ Child. The wax of the DayLights and all Kringle Candles is in various shades of white to blend harmoniously into any environment. The cute candle tins and decorative glasses create a beautiful color contrast that adapts to the respective scent theme of the candle.
