Easton Reed Chocolate Chip Scottish Shortbread (175 g)
Chocolate chips are an essential part of American cookie culture. Easton Reed combines them with a Scottish classic: delicate, crumbly butter shortbread. Each piece contains 10% chocolate chips, accompanied by fine cocoa and vanilla notes.
This chocolate chip shortbread is baked in small batches by a family business in the north of Scotland that we have visited personally. There, we met the people behind the product – and discovered a shortbread that combines tradition with a familiar chocolate note and fits very well with American Heritage.
For a coffee break, it tastes wonderful with a cappuccino, latte macchiato, or a glass of cold milk. It is just as good at a weekend brunch or alongside a cup of hot chocolate. For a quick dessert, it can be crumbled over vanilla ice cream or a chocolate sundae. The combination of crumbly pastry and small chocolate pieces also goes perfectly with fresh strawberries or raspberries.
