Black Bean Salsa from Stonewall Kitchen
Stonewall Kitchen is a perfect example of the American dream: In 1991, Jim Stott and Jonathan King had a small market stall at a farmers' market in Maine, where they sold their homemade jams and barbecue sauces. The delicatessen products, which were made with great care, sold so well that the two amateur chefs soon moved from their small kitchen to a larger one. As their small business became more and more successful, they had to move to larger premises several times in the following years until they finally moved into the 'Stonewall Kitchen Headquarters' in York, Maine. The fine specialties - including the delicious aiolis - have been produced here since 2000, all of which are made from the best ingredients.
Another specialty from Stonewall is the Black Bean Salsa. This spicy salsa with black beans, corn and jalapenos combines the best of the southwest and northeast of America. The salsa is rounded off with fruity tomatoes and the characteristic taste of real coriander. This spicy salsa variation goes particularly well with burritos or quesadillas, but is also suitable as a delicious snack with tortillas for dipping. This salsa is also popular when grilling: we particularly recommend it with chicken or fish.
