Basil Pesto Aioli from Stonewall Kitchen
Stonewall Kitchen is a classic American Dream story. Over 20 years ago, the two founders, Jim Stott and Jonathan King, sold their homemade jams and grilling sauces for the first time at a small farmers' market in Maine. The more often they came to the market, the faster their sales table sold out. Therefore, Stott and King soon decided to produce their innovative food creations on a larger scale and moved into the 'Stonewall Kitchen Headquarters' in York, Maine, in 2000. The specialty company now supplies many retailers in the USA and is internationally known. All products from Stonewall Kitchen are imported directly from Maine by American Heritage.
The Basil Pesto Aioli from Stonewall Kitchen combines the best of mayonnaise and pesto: the creamy consistency meets the distinctive basil flavor, rounded out by walnuts and pine nuts. A light garlic note and a hint of Dijon mustard add a subtle spiciness to the Basil Pesto Aioli. Thanks to the pleasant freshness of the taste, the aioli is pleasantly light in summer, even with mayonnaise as the base. It is very suitable for dipping with raw vegetables or as a surprising change on sandwiches. It also tastes very good in combination with chicken or pork.
