Cajun Street Spice Seasoning from Urban Accents

This savory & spicy Creole blend combines the flavor of the French Quarter with the legacy of Louisiana bayou cooking. It’s brilliant in taste.

Cajun street spice seasoning is a rustic seasoning blend that hails from Louisiana, the home of mouthwatering Cajun cuisine. Everyone tends to have their own spin on it, but in general, it’s a spicy mix featuring lots of paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, pepper and oregano. Various other seasonings can be added to taste if you want to get create and have some fun in the kitchen. I’ve also included salt in my seasoning mix, so that you can use the seasoning on its own. But you’re welcome to leave the salt out if you would prefer to add it separately to taste.

Use 1 Tbsp per lb of fish, shellfish, chicken or beef. Grill, broil or roast. Even mix it into mayo for a sandwich spread or fry dipper.

For Cajun Spice Street Shrimp

• 1 Tbsp seasoning
• 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
• 1lb shrimp
• 1/2 lemon, juiced

Combine the cajun street spice seasoning, olive oil and lemon juice together and mix well. Pour mixture over shrimp in a plastic ziplock bag, mix together to evenly coat the shrimp and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 10 minutes. Sauté the shrimp on a fry pan over med-high heat until finished cooking through, serve over rice. This cajun street spice blend is delicious, and it only takes a few minutes to make – I bet you already have the ingredients in your spice drawer.
