Cajun Street Seasoning by Urban Accents
The delicious Cajun Street Spice Seasoning is a rustic spice blend that comes from Louisiana. The Urban Accents seasoning consists of paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, pepper and oregano. You can use the Cajun Street Spice seasoning on its own or get creative and combine it with other spices to customize it to your taste.
We recommend one tablespoon of Cajun Street Spice Seasoning per 500 g of meat, fish or shellfish. Alternatively, you can also use the spice to refine mayonnaise and use it as a dip for fries, chips, etc.
We at American Heritage swear by the spice mix - especially when it comes to shrimp! For the legendary Cajun Spice Street Shrimps you need the following ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon Cajun Street Spice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound of shrimp
- 1/2 lemon
Mix the Cajun Street Spice, olive oil and the juice of half a lemon well. Put the shrimp in a plastic bag and then pour in the marinade. Then mix everything well so that the shrimp are evenly marinated. Put the bag in the fridge for about ten minutes so that the marinade can soak into the shrimp. Now fry the shrimp over medium heat until they are well cooked. We like to serve the marinated shrimp with rice. Enjoy!
