Magnet - License Plate "I love New York"

Did you know that the world-famous slogan "I love New York," invented in the 1970s, is both the slogan and the name of the marketing campaign of New York State and New York City in particular? Because the Big Apple had a rather bad reputation at the time due to violent and drug-related crime, the city decided to launch a broad-based image campaign.

Incidentally, the world-famous "I love New York" logo seen on this magnet with a white background was designed by graphic designer Milton Glaser during a cab ride in 1975 as part of the above campaign. Since the designer did not believe in the success of the campaign, he took no fee for the development of the logo, by the way.
