Our wooden planks are made from pure ecologically manufactured lumber in order to ensure food safety. The method of obtaining and processing the wood places high importance on environmental protection. Thus, the wood remains untreated and processing takes place near the forests in order to avoid high transport costs and the CO2 emissions associated with this. These grill planks have therefore been given the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. The directions for using the planks have been conveniently branded into the wood. They are suitable for all grills with a lid.
The Cedar Grilling Planks with the American Heritage logo are best suited for fish and seafood. We highly recommend preparing salmon on the cedar plank because the cedar wood gives it a wonderful flavor.
The Maple Grilling Planks with the American Heritage logo are best suited for pork and everything prepared wrapped in bacon. The wood of the maple tree imparts an especially sweet and wonderfully balanced flavor.
