It all began in 1968 with a wax crayon from which Michael Kittredge made his first candle to give to his mother for Christmas. Shortly thereafter, he founded the famous Yankee Candle Company which he sold years later for health reasons. In 2009, his son, Mick Kittredge, walked in his father’s footsteps and founded his own scented candle company, the Kringle Candle Company, also with headquarters in the New England area of the United States. After the successful market launch of the white Kringle candles, the production of the colorful Country Candles began in 2016.
