It all started back in 1968 with a simple crayon - that's how Michael Kittredge made his first candle, a special gift for his mom at Christmas. Soon after, he founded the Yankee Candle Company. But as success soared, Kittredge decided to sell his company in the late 1990s to focus more on family.

Then in 2009, Mick Kittredge, son of the Yankee Candle founder, decided to carry on the family tradition and started his own fragrance candle company: Kringle Candle Company. Fun fact: the company's name comes from "Kris Kringle," the American version of our Santa Claus.

Kringle Candle now crafts candles for both Kringle Candle and Country Candle lines.
