Bourbon Smoked Pepper, Peppercorns from Bourbon Barrel Foods
Since 2006, Bourbon Barrell Foods, a family-run business from Louisville, Kentucky, has been producing high quality gourmet products. The success of the company under founder and owner, Matt Jamie, is based on an innovative manufacturing process, select ingredients, and dedication to the work. In order to maintain the highest quality, each product is made laboriously by hand and in small batches.
To produce this spice mix, black Malabar pepper is smoked very slowly and intensively over old wood barrells in which the finest Kentucky Bourbon was once stored. This is how the Smoked Pepper receives its typical smoky aroma and the intense flavor. It is slightly spicy and has a hint of nut pine and citrus. Perfect for steaks, burgers, or fresh vegetables.
